You are just a short driving distance away from Yorkshire Television’s Heartbeat Country. Many of Whitby’s famous areas such as the harbour-side, the Whitby Abbey area as well as the winding streets feature in the series. In fact Riverside Walk itself is a key location for an episode of the winter 2007 series.

Watch out for the steam train on its way in and out of Whitby station or enjoy a ride through to Pickering or Goathland, the home of  Heartbeat.
